Named for its clay, a naturally iron-rich stoneware, its depth of colour comes from the earth itself, not a glaze laid over the top.
Quarried and milled right here in Western Australia, fired in oxidation and left sealed rather than glazed, Brimstone stays true to what the mineral gave it, a deep, consistent charcoal from piece to piece. Handbuilt by hand, the edge moves in the same soft, undulating waves as Aurelia, no two plates catching the light the same way.
Aurelia's counterpart in the Homemade collection, built from the same mold, entirely its own material.
